Abstract:
The article analyzes the evolution of proximity care in Spain (1939-1986), from the model implemented by the SOE (1944) to the consolidation of the concept "primary care" emerged from Alma-Ata (1978). This genealogy describes the transition from a hospital-centrist and bureaucratic vision to the structure consecrated by the General Health Law, defining the bases of the health model derived from this reform.
