Anthropology in the face of regulatory challenges
Dr José Luis Molina held the fifth session of the Ethics and Anthropology Seminar, held on April 9, in which the ethical regulations faced by research and the challenges they pose for areas such as anthropology were discussed.
Professor Molina presented a series of arguments related to the way in which ethics committees and other similar bodies can condition research, taking as a starting point the question: what are the effects of the current governance of research ethics on research projects in Social Sciences and Humanities and Anthropology in particular?
The also President of the Research Ethics Commission at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona also referred to the ethical dilemmas faced by researchers, pointing out that there is no optimal solution to them.
Another of the topics addressed had to do with how to deal with research ethics in an increasingly unequal and digitized world.
